Taibach CEC/ Local Action Centre provides a wide range of services to the local community. During the day people of all ages are offered the opportunity to learn, participate in a social activity or just pop in for a friendly coffee and a chat. In the evening the centre becomes a thriving youth club, which provides sports and social facilities for the young people in Taibach/Margam.

The Centre offers numerous activities ranging from the newly opened Active Lifestyles Gym (funded by the Sports Council of Wales) to the Tiddlywinks crèche for children aged over two, which provides professional childcare for those times when mothers need some extra care for the children. The centre also has a Parent and Toddler group every Mon and Wed 10.00 - 12.00. The Seniors Club provides an environment where the more mature centre users can meet old pals and make new friends. They can enjoy a game of cards, snooker etc as well as the regular speakers who are invited to the club. The Centre also has a large barn which can be used for football clubs to train or bands to rehearse in without disturbing any neighbours.

Various types of courses are on offer at the Centre and the subjects that can be studied here range from NVQ Childcare to the hi-tech world of computers.

We have a suite of 10 computers (Windows XP Pro), with Office 2003 and a colour laser printer. We have broadband internet access via a 10mb link.
